It can be said that Hell is the place of the Dead or "Sheol." Christians say it is the domain of demons and 'evil' spirits. In egyptian lore, the damned are said to go to this place, and not remain in the bliss of Osiris.
Regardless of how you see hell, the Christian connotations that have developed over time must be dispelled.
First of all, I do not believe hell to be a literal place of burning and torment. I see it to be a place of Satanic Illumination, and the illumination of the highest level. The Luciferian Gnosis takes place in the pit of hell, and the initiate faces their own demons and becomes stronger through them.
Michael W. Ford points this out well in Rite of the Qlippoth.
The Hell that I have the most experience with is the Eighth Hell, or the realm of Samael, the Angel of Poison. Samael is the Fallen Angel I invoked to attain this state of enlightenment.
Hell can be seen as a place of desolation, which represents the path of Cain, and more generally the Left-Hand-Path in itself. The initiate rebels against the laws of nature, defying all logic and reason when they invoke Samael. And these are ideal concepts for the Satanist, who is always trying to break down false facades and proverbs that have been told to them from birth; the Satanist always seeks the truth in all things, and learns through experience, study, and practice.
The great lie for Satanists coming from a Christian background is that they will go to Hell if they get involved in the occult arts or Satanism. The truth is that Hell is a state of the mind, and part of the unconciousness. It is about unlocking certain potential, exploring the darker regions of the soul, and essentially creating your own world as a God/Goddess.
Those who cannot face the darkness within will surely not have the courage to journey into the pits of Hell. When I look at the modern Christian and consider how they think, I see a weak animal, trapped and conceived in a world of delusions, as well as stupor. They cannot break free from their religious lies, and are sinners at heart, regardless of how 'holy' they see themselves. The same applies to the Buddhist, Muslims, and Jews. Witches and Pagans are even guilty of falling into Right-Hand Path beliefs. I have a moral contempt for those who simply cannot accept the darkside. And finally we come to Satanists within the Satanic Community who are posers and liers at heart. They have not experienced TRUE Enlightenment, nor do they have the Inner Will to actually put Work into their Path. I can name individuals and organizations, but I will not for the purpose of this page.
